HOLIDAY PARTY POT LUCK DINNER The annual Holiday Party Pot Luck Dinner will take place on December 18th at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are for sale at the Booster Club Booth for $5.00 for adults, and $3.00 for children (9 and under). This even is open to Booster Club Members ONLY! Please sign up at the Booth to bring a dish. As this is a Holiday Party Pot Luck, we are in need of main dishes, mashed potatoes, salads, etc. This year we have three Santa Elves programs so more people can get involved: Present Patrol Program
Members may stop by the Booth to sign up and receive a “wish list” from undisclosed Blazer player which will include likes, dislikes, favorite themes, etc of the player. Members may individually (or as a group) purchase a gift up to the $50 amount. This amount was set with the intention that each player will receive an item of approximately the same value and to make it fair to all members who want to participate. You can have one big item, or several little items to qualify as “one” gift. Ideas for the gift should come from the wish list, but do not necessarily have to be from that. The players will receive their presents while playing a “Dirty Santa” type game, so there is no guarantee that the player on the wish list will receive the gift provided by the member. Most of the time, if one player likes it / needs it then the majority of them probably do too.
General Do’s and Don’ts
DO NOT include GIFT CARDS DO wrap the gift. DO NOT have any player’s name on it DO NOT sign your name on it. DO be creative in deciding what to get. DO come by the booth to receive a wish list. DO have fun!!!
Stocking Stuffer Program
This year the Booster Club will be getting together some Christmas stockings for the players and goody bags for the children 10 and under who attend the Christmas party.
We are asking for willing members to donate 25 “stocking stuffer” type items. The 25 items can be all the same thing (with maybe different colors, etc.) or even donate candy. As with the Present Patrol, this can be done individually or as a group. Some suggestions for items would be Christmas themed puzzles, note pads, pencils, stickers, small toys etc. Other items would be travel sized toiletry items such as tooth brushes, tooth paste, shampoo, etc that the guys could take on the road.
General Do’s and Don’ts:
DO bring the items to the booth by the December 15th game. DO bring enough for 25 portions DO have fun and be creative!!! Decorating Delights Committee
The Booster Club is needing volunteers to decorate small, table top sized Christmas trees to be used for the Christmas Party. Traditionally, the trees have been used to decorate for the party, and then given to the players to take home a touch of holiday cheer for their apartments.
The club has purchased the trees. You can decorate them in any theme (candy, toy cars, golf) or with any type of decorations (we just ask that you keep it tasteful and remember it is a family event) There will be a prize for the most creatively decorated tree!
General Do’s and Don’ts
DO be as creative as you can!!!!! DO stop by the booth at any home game before December 15th to pick up a tree. DO bring the decorated tree to the Christmas party (Please get there early to get it set up) DO NOT feature a player’s name/number (there is no guarantee that the player would receive that particular tree) **The Present Patrol and Decorator Delight Programs are on a first-come first serve basis. However, there is no limit to the help you can provide in the Stocking Stuffers program.** Have questions? Ask Glenda Cottier or any board member. |

Members are also asked to bring "garage sale" items, things that the guys could use to finish out their apartments. Suggestions for items to bring include towels, bedding, cleaning supplies, kitchen items, paper products, laundry baskets, snack foods..... anything that the guys might like. The items don't need to be new, but definitely need to be in good shape if used. |

Calling All Cooks The Booster Club coordinates the Feed the Players program for the visiting teams after each home game. Club members (individually or as a group) sign up to provide the meal, then on gameday they can set everything up downstairs by the locker rooms. The players eat immediately after the game before they get back on the bus. The possible menus are only limited by your imagination and culinary creativity. Of course, some more "basic" fares are easier to manage when planning to feed about 25-30 people. Some of the players opt for more "lighter" options, such as fruits and vegetables, so it is advisable to have a selection of those available as well. Some meals prepared last year were chili and cornbread, chopped brisket, pot roast, meatball subs, pasta dishes, etc. Members can turn in their receipts and the club will reimburse them for the first $20 they spend on supplies. The club provides the basic supplies such as the styrofoam trays and plastic ware. Water and a sports drink are available in the locker room, so members don't have to supply those either. To sign up or get more information, see Glenda Cottier, Activities Chairperson in person, contact her via email at
